UPTU B tech Branch Change in 2nd year [Circular] 2014-15

UPTU has released the forms for Students who wants to change their branch. All the students who have recently cleared their B tech first year exams and has been promoted to second year and wants to change their branch can now apply for Branch change in UPTU by filling this form.

Who is eligible for change of branch ?

Any student who appeared for B tech first year exam and has cleared the exams in first attempt and has no carryover or grace marks. Also the candidate must be clear pass with 60 %. If you fulfil this criteria, you are eligible for branch change.

How to apply for Change of Branch in B tech 2nd year ?

GREATER NOIDA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY GREATER NOIDA
 
My college name is GNIOT group of institutions greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It is best engineering institute in NCR region. It has 1200 seats of B.tech in various branches (ME, CE, EC, CS& automobile and electrical). It was established in 2001.
The college environment for study is good because not complete but maximum students study. This college has medium level faculty. This is a weak point but all teachers are very laborious so the result is good. Every year cultural events are also organized for the student in which they show their talent.
Workshops for every branch are also organized (Robotic, ethical hacking, auto-cad and
Microsoft internship) .
Quality of Education:
The quality of education is good. Theory classes are excellent.  Little attentions are given to the practical. Lab assistant do not have clear concept and insufficient practical equipment. Lab classes for B.tech students is required.
My rating for quality Education is 3.7/5.
Faculty:
Faculty is good but these have less experience. They don’t hold complete M.tech degree which is against the university rule. Teachers are changed from time to time.
Ratings out of 5 is 3(3/5).
Placement:
Placement records of my college in initial years were very good. But at present the records don’t seem to be pleasing. Every year only approximate 50 placement out of 1200 is done.

Hostel:

 
My college has 4 hostels – one girls and 3 boys’ hostel. Proper facilities in every hostel are provided. Food quality is sometimes acceptable and sometimes non-acceptable.
Rating – 4.7/5
Canteen and Cafeteria:
A favorite haunt of students during off hours is the spacious and well-designed cafeteria
with a suitable aesthetic touch. The cafeteria has a modern kitchen with the latest
appliances to provide for Indian and Continental cuisine which includes snacks, fruit
juice, tea, milk, coffee, working meals, sandwich, pizza, burgers, noodles, curd, lassi etc.
The interior is tastefully crafted to provide the much needed relief and soothing
environment. The college also has a “cafe day” which provides Cafe, Tea and snacks.

Raksha App is a complete women & individual Safety App which has been conceptualized by Meenakshi Lekhi (Member of Parliament) New Delhi. Along with BJP with the contribution of Delhi police.
This app has been developed as a mobile safety tool for every woman and individual. It is developed in such an advanced manner that even if the Raksha App is switched off and isn’t running, pressing the volume key for just three seconds alerts the specific contacts you have chosen beforehand. Your location is sent to them on a map which sends them your exact location. A distress signal just by pressing a single key sends out a loud buzzer to your near and dear ones. Your parents need not worry all the time now. You as a woman need not worry about security.
The app is currently available in Google play store and i-phone version with the below features:
*      Send location without switching on the Raksha app by the press “0” a key
*      Create a group of trusted people (friends and family) whom you can alert if required
*      Map view for easy navigation
*      Loud buzzer
*      Request location of near and dear ones.
*      Safe Places: the app will indicate which places are safe to travel.
*      Dark zone/Danger Zone: will notify your family & 100 dial if you are going in a unprotected area.
*      Rescue: in case of eve teasing, medical emergencies other threats.
*      Geofencing: will make a boundary for you, in case you are in trouble will automatically send notification to you close ones and the helpline numbers.
*      App active on Internet and SMS
*      Setting direct calls to numbers feeded for help as well as nearest police stations
*      Will capture last location /address
*      Adding contacts with different settings
*      Can add multiple contacts along with 100 dial for help.

UPTU Special Carryover exam Schedule 2014

All the students of Uttar Pradesh Technical University are being hereby informed that University has declared the special carryover examination schedule for odd and even sem subjects for first and final year students.

UPTU Special Carryover exams for 1st and 4th year 2014

This is to inform all UPTU Students who recently appeared for First year and final year examinations in session 2013-14. UPTU is conducting special carryover examination for students and more details about these are mentioned below.

UPTU Special Carrover exams for 1st year :

All students of First year in B tech, B Pharma, BHMCT, B Arch, MBA and MCA who have backs in first year or have PCP, PCP-A or Fail in First year examination can now give these special carryover exams and clear their backs and attain Pass status in results. 
Note: Final year students who had backs in first year can also appear in these exams.

UPTU Special Carrover exams for Final year :

Students in Final year for various courses like B tech, B pharma, BHMCT, B Arch, MBA, and MCA having backs in final year can appear in these special carryover exams. Not that Students who got Fail status in final year exams are not eligible to appear in these exams.
