Quizzing has always been perceived as a purely intellectual and studious activity, with a great emphasis on memorizing obscure and uninteresting facts that no normal person in their right mind would ever care to remember. For a very long time, the only people interested in attending the quiz were nerdy genius types, whose biggest pride and joy would be knowing by heart the capitals of all the world’s countries or some such dry-as-dust trivia. 
So, for all the curious minds out there, this is one for you.





  • This is merely the G.K. Quiz contest. 
  • There can be 2-3 participants per team. 
  • The registration fees is Rs.300 per team. 
  • The contest is open for the students of all the schools and colleges. 
  • It will be held on 7th february 2014 
  • The venue of the event is Open Ampitheatre Jiit 128, Noida. 
  • This is a general quiz.
  • Questions will encompass all the topics under the sun.
  • Registration will be done in teams of 2-3.
  • There will be a written preliminary round.
  • 8 teams will make it to the semi final round.
  • 4 teams compete it out for the finals.
  • In case of a tie, the star marked questions/ tie breaker will be used.
  • Use of electronic gadgets during the quiz will result in disqualification of the team.
  • The decision of the quiz master will be final.
  • The rules and format of the final rounds will be shared with the team by the quiz master before the quiz.

Tech and Quizing Society Jiit 128 is organising  the fest CONVERGE’14 and now it presents the Jaypee Quiz Contest- 2K14. 


REWARDS: Rs.10000 cash prize and worlds of wonder amusement park passes(Rs.500 each) for every participant.

ROBOTRYST 2014 IIT Delhi Registration Details

RoboTryst-2014 is a National Level Robotics Championship organized by Robosapiens Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in association with Tryst, IIT-Delhi every year in the month of March. This year we are organizing 5th Edition of RoboTryst-2014. RoboTryst-2014 is 3 Stage Event wherein first 2 stages(Zonal rounds) will held at selective engineering college/Universities in Pan Indian and last stage(Grand Finale) will held at IIT-Delhi in the month of March 2014.


The schedule of the event are as follows:

Date: 6th and 7th February

Cost: Rs 1100 per person

Venue: Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology, Knowledge Park III, Greater Noida.

The duration of the workshop is 2 days with 8 eight hours session each day which includes theoretical and practical sessions. The level of the workshop is intermediate; best suited for B.E, B.Tech(all years), B.Sc engineering students. At the end of the workshop a small competition is organised and the winner students are provided a merit certificate. All the participants will be provided a participation certificate from Robotryst 2014.
This event will not only enhance your technical knowledge but also adds up an extra merit to your C.V.

Rule for Students those were Detained in odd semester examination

Detained Students in odd semester are not given Year back 

There is a lot of confusion, regarding detained students who were not able to give odd semester examination due to short attendance or any other issue. However university has recently released a circular which clearly states that college can not deny any student to attend classes for even semester and can not deny a student to appear in even sem exams. The circular clearly states that result of any student is declared as Pass or Fail only on the basis of results of both semesters, not only on the outcome of any one semester result.

Who is a College Ambassador ?

A College Ambassador will be the representative of Team UPTU Khabar for the respective college. A College Ambassador can be considered as a media representative from a particular college who shall be liable to bring out his college to the web, everything that he/she thinks must be known to others. This news may include anything, positive and negative reviews, Event organization, Seminars, Fairwell party, or any happening in a college.

This is to mention that we are not looking forward to show the negative side of any college, but every side! All the details about the college infrastructure, placements, result stats, student achievements, academic environment, hostel facilities, internet coverage, exclusive images and everything else, shall be put forth.
