Hello everyone, UPSC has released the latest notification for CDS 2016. Here we are providing the CDS Examination Eligibility Criteria 2016 , by reading which you can prepare yourself better for the CDS 2016. There are criterion given by UPSC which is need to be followed by candidates who is willing to appear in CDS 2016 ,and those criterion are like age limit, educational qualification, gender, marital status and nationality. Candidate’s age should be between 18 -22 years , he should have done his bachelor degree from a recognised University , candidates should be a Indian citizen, Bhutan citizen, Nepal citizen or Tibetan refugee who had come in India before 1st January 1962 and must have permanent living proof.
Every year Union public service Commission (UPSC) organises combined defence service (CDS) examination ,two times .UPSC has released the latest notification about CDS 2016 so, all of those who are willing to contribute in National defence can give this exam and become a part of Indian Glory. CDS is a Combined test for Indian army, Indian navy and Indian air force. There are basically four different training academies in India and those are-
IMA- Indian military academy(only men)
INA-Indian naval academy(only men)
AFA-Air Force academy(only men)
Officer’s training academy ( men &women)
CDS Examination Eligibility criteria 2016:
#Age limit-
- For Indian military academy (IMA): candidate(male) should be unmarried and born not earlier than 2nd July 1993 and not later than 1st July 1998 i.e. candidate’s age should be between 18-22 years.
- For Indian naval academy (INA):
- Male candidates should not be married and have age limit between 18-22years.
For Air force academy(AFA):
- Male candidates can apply with the age limit between 20-24 years old on 1st July 2017. Upper age can be shifted to 26 years in very limited cases.
Note:
- Candidates below the age 25 years must be unmarried.
- For officers training academy ( SSC course for men): male candidates either married or unmarried born not earlier than 2nd july 1992 and not later than 1st July are eligible.
- For officers training academy (SSC women non-technical course): unmarried women, issuless widows (who have not remarried) and issuless divorcee (who have not remarried are eligible).
#Educational qualifications-
- For IMA/officers training academy: candidate should have a degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
- For Indian naval academy: candidate should have done bachelor in engineering.
- For Air force academy: candidate should have a degree from a recognized University with physics and mathematics at 10+2 level or bachelor of engineering.
- For CDS exam 2016 applicant can be from any stream but fir entry to air force and navy candidate should have studied physics and mathematics upto class 12 atleast.
There is also a good news , all those who are studying in the final year of degree course or want to be part of Indian Glory by joining defence services can also appear for the exam. Final year students of degree course who are yet to pass the final year degree exam can also apply but they will be required to submit the proof of passing the degree exam.
#Nationality-
To appear in CDS 2016 candidate must either be:
- Indian citizen
- Nepal citizen
- Bhutan citizen or
- Tibetan refugee who had come in India before 1st january1962 and must have permanent living proof.
#Physical standards-
Candidate needs to be physically fit as per as the physical standards set for the exam of CDS 2016.
