College is a huge milestone in our lives. We all decide to join some college after hundreds of decisions. And after that hundreds of confusions are still there.
The first thing that come to your mind before you start up with your college, how it looks??? How’s the campus there?
What’s about the infrastructure?
The most important thing is placement; as your whole life, your whole carrier will be depending on your college only.
Other things that matter the most are what sort of hostel you will be getting. For the first time living alone sounds like a great experience. Isn’t it??? We all are very much excited before joining our college about its infrastructure, its canteen, its hostel, its educational facility, its faculty, its placement.

Babu Banarasi Das National Institute of Technology and Management (BBDNITM), Lucknow is one of the effort to cherish the memory of Late Shri Babu Banarasi Das ji, Ex. Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. The institute is affiliated to UPTU and was established in 1998. Since 1998 it has been serving UPTU in best of its state.
BBDGEI is a vast group of colleges, spreading its five colleges with in same area, starting with same name.
BBDNITM , BBDNIIT , BBDESGI , BBD UNIVERSITY , BBD DENTAL COLLEGE..
The institution endeavours various branches of engineering particularly:
Electronics and communication engineering;
Computer science engineering;
Information technology engineering;
Electrical engineering;
Electrical and electronics engineering;
Electronics and instrumentation engineering;
Civil engineering;
Mechanical engineering;
Chemical engineering;
Aeronautical engineering.
Apart from this it also plays an important role in grooming student’s personalities by organizing various cultural activities.
Now, stepping towards my reviews for its infrastructure, educational qualities, faculties, hostels, canteen and cafeteria and most important its placement.
INFRASTRUCTURE:
BBDNITM is fully accomplished with modern, eco-friendly and almost fully Wi-Fi environment; which I think is the basic need of every student. Bbdnitm has large spacious classrooms with the accommodation of compliance 60 to 70 students each. The only drawback of classroom is it is not having projector.
There are basically two blocks of our college one is MAIN block and another one is ENGINEERING block.
Main block is for official work and for first year where as Engineering block is for seniors. There are separate floors assigned to each department of engineering.
Both the blocks are fully accomplished with fully furnished laboratories.
College has a well-stocked library. It comprises of three sections
1. General,
2. Textbooks,
3. Reference.
The library has a collection of over 72,000 books. Students
can borrow to help them to excel in their field of study.
We have a wide array of books to choose from. Students can also refer
to the large numbers of national and international journals that the library subscribes to. The library with its open rack system, spacious reading room and a reference section provides an atmosphere conductive to study. A competent and friendly library staff guides and counsels the students regarding books and library facilities. Students are encouraged to become regular and responsible users of library.
There is a seminar hall which can accommodate around 250 people; this space is equipped with projector and an excellent sound system. Hence, they are suitable for seminars and workshops.
The college has a fully air conditioned auditorium for debates and other cultural activities for the students with a perfect sound quality.

EDUCATIONAL QUALITIES:
“EDUCATION IS THE MOST POWERFUL WEAPON WHICH WE CAN USE TO CHANGE THE WORLD”. Keeping this in mind BBDNITM always try to serve the best education to its students. For better education discipline plays a key role and thus our institution pays more emphasize on discipline and regularity of students. Emphasize is given on students so as to make notes and moreover monthly internals exams are organised so as to make students prepare for the external exams on the regular basis. However, theoretical knowledge dominates on practical knowledge in BBDNITM which is the only drawback. Apart from all this, in the last it’s upon students that how much determination they are towards their studies.

FACULTIES:
Faculties are key feature of any institution. They are the one who makes education of institution vary as per their contribution towards students.
“A good faculty can inspire hope, ignite the imagination and instil a love of learning.” Faculty like this is hard to find these days. In BBDNITM faculties comprehend of all types – bad, average, good, exceptional. We can find all sorts of teacher over there. HOD’s of all departments are exceptional. All the faculty of BBDNITM are well qualified and some of their studies are quiet effective. Notes which they offer to students are always worthwhile it helps students to go through the topics easily and to score good marks in exams.

CANTEEN & CAFETERIA:
The college canteen is a large auspicious area with a variety of refreshments and meals available. It tends to be the most popular place on campus, not only for physical refreshment but also for students bonding, discussions and even work on assignments and projects.
There is a student’s mall in our campus attached with the canteen that provides all the daily usage items of students. All the products available in mall are of reasonable prices and the products available over there varies from small utilities like soap shampoos to large utilities like sports product, etc.
There are two canteens in our campus; one in starting of our campus and another one at the back. So, college administrators have made it easy for the students by taking up their refreshments after their lectures without covering up long distances.

HOSTEL:
Hostels are another concern which students search for. Being away from home makes student feel a bit sad. But for pursuing good education they need to sacrifice their home so they look for a hostel where they can get a home like environment. BBDNITM comprehends many hostels for both boys and girls with in a campus with the facility of separate hostel for first year. Moreover institution has student’s mall which is no less than a market for hostellers where they can get everything of their need. The hostels are fully Wi-Fi. Now moving on to the main concern – FOOD. The 4 time meal is given to all the hostellers, varying with varieties but average in quality and taste. Not so good not bad.

PLACEMENT :
The campus recruitment programme of Bbdnitm gives an opportunity to the institute to showcase its talent pool to the cooperate world and for the cooperate to reiterate their confidence in recruiting from the institute.
The placement season at BBDNITM occurs by welcoming companies like TATA CONCULTANCY SERVICES (TCS) recruiting students of BBDNITM with package of Rs. 3.16 LPA. Many other companies like MAHENDRA, HCL , SAFENET , GENPACT , IBM and many other notch companies offers services to students.
Though in past few years the placement records of BBDNITM haven’t been impressive. Some of the students fail to cross recruitment hurdles and other fails to fall into companies requirements.

AS BEING STUDENT OF BBDNITM, I WANT TO SAY THAT IT’S NOT ONLY COLLEGE WHICH CARVES YOU FOR AQUIRING HIGH PAY JOB. IT’S UPON YOU ALSO THAT WHO YOU CARVE YOURSELF SO THAT COMPANY’S H.R RUNS BEHIND YOU OFFERING HIGH PAY JOB…
SOME PEOPLE WAIT FOR OTHERS TO CLEAR THE WAY FOR THEM AND SOME CLEARS THEIR OWN WAY SO AS TO ACHIEVE THEIR GOAL.
