As she quotes:-
“A journey of thousand miles begins with a single step”
A discourse of how a young bird learnt to fly…
Dressed in a casual outfit, she seemed very much oriented and focussed toward her dreams, her goals and her future and why not after all in her 2nd year she topped the college in recently declared UPTU results. A student of Electronics and Communication Engineering, she came out with flying colours in the university examinations.
Q. How do you feel after being the topper of the college?
A.She explains with a witty grin on her face, it’s not a day’s work; neither is it luck by chance case as many critics may portray it. It’s a long journey and this “small” success which she describes with a feeling of being graceful is a ladder in this journey of hers, she quips. Celebrations are ought to be there and yes she did celebrate for the whole night with her friends and family members. Again being humble she gives credit for her success to her close friends and family members. She ends up saying, these milestones are necessary since these acts as the evidence that the end point of the journey will be a lot sweeter.
Q. What motivated you to score these classic marks?
A. In the modest of ways , she says APJ Abdul Kalam’s life is a huge motivational factor for her and then explains …if a person coming from such a poor background can reach such heights then why can’t me? Also every happening in our day to day life acts as some sort of motivation from a growing flower to the sunset…which gives a hope that the dusk is just a few hours away. It’s all a matter of our perception.. How we take up things. Being an optimist is the way to go forward for this young bird.
Q. What are your dreams and what will you do to achieve it?
A. She again quotes “Dreams are not those which we see in our sleep; dreams are those which do not let us sleep”. This statement of hers simply proves her allegiance towards her goal. She says as I earlier told you it is a long journey, a journey of becoming an Indian Engineering Services Officer (her eyes filling with a sudden spark and glow that very moment)and making her parents proud. Hard work and determination are my only tools and I feel proud that I inherited it from my father, she explains briefly.
Elaborating she says regular studies are a must if you want to score good no, better marks. It’s a taboo in college with certain rather majority of “crows and cuckoo” as she calls them humming lines like” we are one night engineers…” Hard work always pays off if done at the right time, right place and in right amount…the three R’s as she fondly calls them.
Q. Can an average student achieve this milestone? If yes, can you please suggest some methods to our readers that can be useful for them.
A. The environment suddenly gets livelier with her conspicuous grin, and then she explains, there are some who are the extraordinary types and some who are born to work hard. She comes in the latter category so she automatically becomes an ordinary student .Also how can we forget the story of a spider that inspired a king to fight for his state and ultimately he ended up winning the battle. She ends up quoting Vince Lombardi “The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand”
Q. What do you feel about UPTU KHABAR? Give rating to his community.
A.She says- the very fact that any information related to university is first searched on this very portal explains the kind of view the students have on UPTU Khabar. It is a really great stage which helps in bringing the students from the entire university and synchronising their views on a single platform. ON a lighter note she ends up saying “LONG live UPTU Khabar” …with the same witty grin…
The bird has learned to fly…and zenith of SUCCESS is just nearby….
