DAY 1:
The inter-collegiate techno cultural fiesta Udbhav which is held annually at Inderprastha Engineering College in Ghaziabad commenced today on the 6th of March, 2014. The sparkling inaugural ceremony launched the arrival of the Mega event. The opening ceremony was a magnificent show of talents & enthusiasm of the IPEC family. The major events of the day included “On The Contrary”, the English debate where participants indulged in a war of words for the support or detest of the Section 377 of the (IPC).
Technical events like “Play with bits” & “Blind Coding”engaged budding engineers in the game of bits & bytes. Fun events like“golgappa on the rocks” were meant to add an element of enjoyment for the contestants as well as the audience. Faculty events were also organized which is another highlight of Udbhav. They participated in events like “musical chairs” & “spoon race” too. The ambience was filled with a sense of festivity & fervor throughout. One could feel the unique manner in which the excited IPEC family celebrated Udbhav with utmost zeal.
The evening of Udbhav’14,Day-1 was a musical affair with the “War of Bands”creating enormous fever of rock & pop music around. The star attraction of the eve was the live performance of Little Champs Leena Das & Amit Seth. Their performance amazed one & all. The first chapter of Udbhav’14 ended in a fashion show “Verve” that delivered a heavy dose of panache to the audience.
Spectacular performances & marvelous efforts coupled with rhythmic co-ordination indeed marked the very first day of Udbhav’14. The participants took back some memorable lessons & a delight to the soul for a lifetime.
DAY 2:
The fun and excitement continued to galore on the second day i.e. 7 March 2014, in Udbhav ’14
The highlighted events of the morning included “Rajneeti”– the parliamentary style debate and vote-out among the contestants. It brought out the leaders in the youngsters giving them a platform to voice their opinion.
Meanwhile, amusement continued at Fun events like “Arm Wrestling” & “LAN Gaming”. The competitions were heating up with the rising sun and cultural events like “Croon” (solo singing), prelims of “Jitterbugged” (group dance) were held.
The evening was packed with entertainment as finals of the group dance took place followed by “On the Floor” (solo dance) competition.
The climax of the second day of Udbhav ’14 was an immensely exuberant “Kavi Sammelan” which saw the gracious presence of eminent poets namely Dinesh Raghuvanshi, Popular Meeruthi, Gajendra Solanki, Ved Prakash & Rasik Gupta. The tinge of humour and sarcasm in their poetry won all hearts leaving the audience mesmerised.
DAY 3:
The literary events like “Gregarious Gangs” (group extempore) & “Sonnet aria” (poetry recital) gathered participation in large numbers and started the Third day. Other events organized in the daytime schedule were “Relay Balloon” & “Tam bola” in fun category which were enjoyed by one & all.
The cultural event “Two the Tango” (duet dance) which was actively participated by students had many beautiful performances that amazed everybody. The events towards the eve were pacing towards the finale with zeal at its peak. “Nautanki Gali”– the street play was participated by groups of different colleges who stupendously brought up social issues in an entertaining manner.
The finale was a marvellously thrillinglive concert by Bombay Vikings along with their lead singer Neeraj Sridhar.IPEC tapped its feet to the tunes of Bombay Vikings and by that time the environment had reached at the zenith of celebration, festivity & enthusiasm. The star night attracted spectators from outside as well in large numbers.
However, like all good things come to an end, Udbhav ’14 also ended on a high note. The organizing committee thanked the students for their co-operation throughout in making Udbhav ’14 a grand success. The winners felt elated while those who did not win learnt lessons for life. Udbhav ’14 will be a memorable event in the history of IPEC adding another feather to the cap of its glory.
