Well, here in this article, we shall try to cover all the questions and make sure that all the doubts can be cleared.
Abdul Kalam Technical University currently follows a system which we will discuss below to allot Pass, or Fail status to any student. Read the below points to know about this system and what are the outcomes from the same.
- A student must score a minimum of 30 marks in both theory and practical exams for each subject.
- To avoid a year back, a student needs to clear at least 5 out of the 10 subjects in each semester.
- If a student fails in more than 5 subjects during a semester, they will be given a year back and will need to repeat the entire semester.
- It is not enough now. For a student to not get a year back he/she must have to clear at least 5 subjects out of 10 subjects from semester 1 and semester 2 combined. If he/ she is unable to do so, then they will get an year back.
- AKTU provides opportunities for students to rectify their failed subjects through supplementary exams. Additionally, students can opt for improvement exams to enhance their scores in the subjects they have already passed.
- The year back rule applies to all students, irrespective of their previous semester performance. This ensures that every student meets the necessary academic standards to progress in their B Tech program.
So if you have qualified the above conditions, then you are clear pass. And you will be promoted to the next year.
Pass : If a student gets full credits in all the subjects including theory and practical, then the student is declared as Pass.
Fail : If this status is alloted in your result, it means that you have to re appear for the examinations in same academic year and you will not be promoted to next year. This is also known as year back .
