It a product of Noida-based firm “Ringing Bells Pvt. Ltd.” This is owned by an Amity University Graduate Mohit Kumar Goel.
The fact over here is, freedom 251 is subsidised or does it really cost this less too make a smart phone. Mobile industry body ICA urged telecom minister Ravi Shankar Prasad to scrutinise the price, saying it could not cost below Rs. 3500 even after a subsidised sale.
The booking of this phone has already begun and the payment is to be done online. Many people are referring it as a scam where as others have already made a payment by booking the cell phone in bulk.
With all these controversies and dilemma this phone has managed to earn 7.35 crore.
After getting numerous allegations and accusation of being fake and fraud, Ringing Bells have started returning the money due to ‘negative speculation’, Money will only be taken by the customers after delivering the phones to them. The delivery is expected to start in the month of April.
But if this isn’t a scam then definitely this phone is an amazing start upand “dream come true for many of the people out there”. We have to admit that the smartphone at a cost of Rs251 is definitely a deal.
